Hartford Hospital recently published an article in their newsletter titled “SIBO: When A Big Problem Invades Your Small Intestine” that featured our own Dr. Megan Lester. The article shows how Dr. Lester, in collaboration with Dr. Maria Johnson, a gastroenterologist at Hartford HealthCare, have been working together to help patients suffering from SIBO.
SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) is a condition that occurs when there is an imbalance of bacteria that inhabit the small intestine and can cause symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, bloating and diarrhea. Dr. Lester regularly helps patients manage SIBO and other digestive issues.
