Empowering Patients
The physicians at Collaborative Natural Health Partners practice evidence based medicine, offering integrative therapies that can optimize the efficacy of conventional therapies and educate patients on resources that can keep them feeling in their power through their care. From what to eat, to exercise and possible supplements, our team can guide patients through how to stay empowered and maximize their treatment.
Supporting the Body & Treatment
Integrative medicine offers ways of helping the body stay strong and thrive while supporting conventional treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. We work closely with oncologists and surgeons so that the whole team is focused on the same thing: the individual and their unique healing journey. We believe patients should have access to “the best of both worlds”, using all the evidence based tools available to maximize their treatments.
Managing Side Effects
Oncology therapies can come with side effects that not only dramatically impact quality of life, but they can also limit treatment and impact effectiveness of medication. There are many integrative therapies that have been studied to reduce side effects without impacting the effectiveness of medication. Reducing side effects is an important part of oncology treatment. Nutrition, supplements and modalities like acupuncture have research supporting their safety and effectiveness in helping mitigate negative side effects of treatments like chemotherapy and radiation.
Prevention
A strong family history of cancer or a personal history of cancer makes prevention a primary personal health goal. There are a lot of resources steeped in research that support how to reduce the risk of recurrence and support the body in preventing cancer. Lifestyle and nutrition along with targeted supplementation has been show to support healthy tissue and cancer prevention.
